Snake the Land! is a calm, brain-bending puzzle game about one simple idea: the ground you circle around becomes yours.
Pick a direction and the snake slides — it doesn't stop until it hits a stop point or a wall. Every tile it crosses gets a block dropped on it. Bring that trail back around to land you already own, and the whole enclosed region snaps shut and turns into your territory. Claim what the level asks for and you're through.
That's the whole rule set. Everything after that is you, the grid, and the question of which move goes first.
THINK, DON'T RUSH
There is no timer, no combo meter, and nothing punishing you for staring at the board for five minutes. Levels are handcrafted, not generated — every one of them has an intended solution, and finding it is the entire game. Undo any move you regret, or restart the level instantly and try a completely different line.
WATCH YOUR LENGTH
Your body is finite. Every tile you cross costs you, so the long scenic route that claims a beautiful shape may leave you with nothing left to close it. The shortest path is rarely the one that claims the most land.
MIND THE GUARDS
Later levels put patrols on the board. They step in time with you — one move of yours, one move of theirs — so they're never random and never unfair. They are a timing puzzle, and once you see the rhythm you can walk straight past one on the exact turn it looks away.
BEAT PAR
Every level has a par move count for the solution it was designed around. Finishing is one thing. Finishing in par is another, and it usually means throwing out the route you were proud of and starting again.
